Thanksgiving lunch and boardgame

For the first time in two months or so and finally I got to engage in a social activity.. after studying all day and night and weekdays and weekends.

Friendsgiving is fun and I get to eat homemade foods. My friends made biscuits, grilled chicken, roasted vegetables, and cornbread. I brought a salad. They also made chocolate chip cranberry muffins and an apple pie. That's a lot of work and a lot of leftovers, but Thanksgiving is supposed to be a holiday that you make a lot of food out of fall harvest and celebrate it.

Then we played a game called Machi colo. It's a boardgame from Japan! Players buy businesses to make money and eventually to build landmarks in their city. That was super complicated because every time a die (or two or three) is rolled, different cards are activated and they'll incur different payments to different players each time. Many things happen in one turn, so this game took a long time; 2 hours or so. This boardgame culture is interesting. Apparently it's a big thing people talk about.

Easy salad with kale mix, mozzarella pearls, and tomatoes! Olive oil, vinegar, herbs can't go wrong. I've found another easy (30 min) recipe for potlucks.
