The bellflowers were just in bloom at Rozan-ji Temple. The temple is said to be associated with Murasaki Shikibu. It was already closed, but there was still a place where she wrote "The Tale of Genji". I think there was such a place in Shiga too, but I wonder if she wrote it in various places...
撮影は庭のみ。源氏物語や皇室に関する展示があった。Photos are only allowed in the garden. Inside the building was exhibitions about The Take of Genji and the Imperial Family.
萩まつりが開催されていた梨木神社〜! これが萩か、なるほど。短歌や俳句が吊り下げられていて、風流。
Nashiki-jinja Shrine where the Hagi (bush clover?) Festival was being held! I never saw Hagi flowers before.. Tanka and haiku poems were hung on the bushes throughout the shrine, which is very elegant.
