Harushika brewery is in a quiet neighborhood close to Nara park, but it is busy and popular inside! For 500 yen, you can taste 5 different kinds of sake and 1 more as a bonus if you're lucky. The serving is generous, too. They had various selections from sweet, bubbly, and dry. They had one that was brewed by using a yeast strain isolated from Sakura flower in Nara. It's a great marketing idea to use local yeast. They offer nara-zuke, vegetables pickled in sake byproduct, which have rich (and alcoholic) flavor and has crunchy texture.
Full mini-glass of sake for tasting!
Spacious tasting room and shop, but full of people.
I bought some sake as a gift -and took a picture of them with souvenir from my friend as well.
