大原の実光院 Jikkoin temple

大原は参道？がけっこうお店がたくさん。その賑やかな中をどんつきまで行くとあるお寺。ここの一角は静かだった。。人もあまりいず。

畳と庭の匂いが、おばあちゃんの家を思い出す…

庭を見てゆったりする時間、素晴らし…。逆側には寂光院もあり、ちょっと一日では回りきれないくらい！また来よう。

In Ohara, the path to the temples is lined with quite a few shops.  Amid all the hustle and bustle, there’s a temple at the very end. This corner was so quiet... hardly any people around.

The smell of the tatami and the garden reminded me of my grandmother’s house.  Sanzenin was crowded, but Jikkoin was quieter and more relaxing. Spending time gazing at the garden was simply wonderful. There’s also Jakko-in on the other side of the area, so it’s hard to see everything in just one day!  I’ll definitely come back!
