How to keep the original resolution (tell PowerPoint not to decrease the image size automatically)

By default, PPT shrinks images imported so that the file size will not be huge. But I sometimes need the original resolution when I want to save the image as pictures when I process it using PPT.

Change options:

Then import your image that you want to be the original size. In Format Picture option,Uncheck “Best scale for slide show” and you’ll be able to select higher resolution.

Save your image as ‘png’ and the resolution should be the same as original or higher.
