Manyo Botanical Garden sits inside Nara Park. It is a rather cute-sized one, perfect for stopping by while strolling in huge Nara Park.
What was interesting was that a lot of plants had a sign that had a waka, Japanese fixed form poetry, related to each of them. It is impressive that the same plants existed over 1000 years ago, and there is a record for each plant.
