いろんな人の近況が聞けてよかった。
やっぱり企業での「研究」と大学での研究は全く違うな。
いろんな意味で。少なくとも研究所なのに博士を殆ど採用していないっていうところからもう。別物だ…。企業に入ったらなかなか自分で勉強することは難しい。なー。とか。
Met with my former colleage from Oita, who was in Osaka for meetings. It was great catching up with him for the first time in six years. So many things have happened and many things have changed. Some restructuring seems to have happened at the R&D department I was in. It's like.. being a researcher at a private company and being one at an academic setting are two totally different things. Especially this company, where R&D seldom hires PhD holders, research is considered to be more general development and planning, rather than working on hypotheses and doing experiments to prove them. It's a different concept of 'research', in my opinion. That was kind of a reminder that an HR has some power over who goes to R&D, and it's not like academia where you only have your professor that has the vision and manage the whole lab.

たこの甘露煮。
鯨のスジ肉。まあいろいろと議論が多い食材ですけども。普通のお肉というか、食感は牛肉に近いけど、なんか魚っぽさも感じる。
ロールキャベツ、具入りあげ、だいこん。めっちゃ味しみてた。
One's Brewery Pub でののみくらべセット。ケルシュが多い。そのなかでも一番右のやつは、白麹が入っているそうだ！ ちょっと味見させてもらったけど、白麹が入っているかどうかは…判別しづらかった。って、白麹をガッツリ感じるような味ではビールとしてはだめなんだろうけど。
ハロウィン仕様のタコちゃん。
ハロウィンと言えば、大阪メトロの電光掲示板がハロウィン仕様になっていて、おお、やるな！と思った。
魔法使いエースがめっちゃかわいい
この衣装素敵だ。
